Dates & study load

The Business in Energy Systems programme is a two-year part-time programme. Participation requires considerable commitment and time investment. Participants should recognise that considerable preparation (assignments, preparation of lectures, reading, team assignments) is required prior and during the modules and final assignment.

The classroom modules are taught in 12 course weeks (Wednesday to Friday). The course weeks include both daytime lectures and evening programmes. These contact days will be used for knowledge transfer, interaction, reflection and skills. Next to the lecture hours, time is to be reserved for self-study, the advisory project and the thesis.

Study load
The theoretical study load for this programme is about 200 days over a two-year period.

Each course module consists of ten days spread over three course weeks (including evenings). In the period in between the course weeks and the modules the participants are expected to make the mandatory assignments, prepare the lectures and self-study. This is estimated as 20 days per course module. In addition, 6 days are scheduled for workshops (as part of the advisory project), requiring 10 days of self-study. The remaining time (70 days) concerns the final assignment.

Contact days

40 scheduled days plus 80 days for homework and preparation
